Well, here are the pictures from the wonderful weekend we had of bringing our lil baby girl into the world. Here is a recap of my labor: thursday night we went a walked the mall with Jordan and Jessica to try and get some contractions going- and it worked but they were not consistent or very painful. We arrived at the hospital on at 10 to begin my induction. It was very different doing things like this and having a scheduled time to go in and have a baby but we enjoyed it. When I got to my room I got in my gown and brad helped me wash my feet so they would be good and clean :) im a dork i know. Once I got settled they started the cervidil and within 15 min i was contracting every 4 minutes. It was just a little pressure but nothing bad through the whole night until about 5. Oh and she wouldnt check me the whole night to see what I was dialated at so I had no idea how much longer it was going to be. So at 5 I was in a huge amount of pain. I handled it until 6:50 and then called for my epidural because I couldnt wait any longer. So I got my epidural and she checked me minutes later- i was 5 cm dialated. Within 10 minutes my epidural was working or so I thought but I was still feeling MAJOR pressure. I told my nurse I didnt think the epidural was working so she sent in another guy who shot my back with some type of pain killer that almost made me pass out. Brad says he was wondering if this guy really knew what he was doing or not because when I said i felt dizzy he looked clueless. lovely! So the next contraction and i turn to my nurse and say.. i need to push. She checks me, says OK.. leaves the room and comes back in 4 other nurses and the doctor. Within 5 minutes of this all happens- I am holding baby girl... WOW was that fast and WOW was that PAINFUL. my doc tells me that there was no way of controling the pain at that point because she was coming so fast. WOW that hurt so bad. This was the first baby that I was actually crying in pain during giving birth. Let me just say, it felt like I had no pain killer at all. But she was here and it was over and thank you Lord for getting me thru that. I have been saying that his was a great labor and birth to end on. :)

Well my baby girl is here. With a very hard but very quick labor it is over and now i am on top of the world. We are all soooo excited and thankful for a precious healthy lil girl. Here are a few pics of my sweet thing!!!!

the 4 of us

Well as of yesterday I was informed that I will be getting induced thursday night. Not for any medical reason but just because I asked and I was granted my wish. I am super excited and anxious about this. This was the plan with Kenzie but I ended up going into labor hours before my induction was scheduled. Maybe that will happen tom :) but if not, I am excited and READY. I am really done with this pregnancy thing, and I am READY to be done with this delivery thing too :) Soon oh very soon!

Today was Wednesday and it was our last lunch together with just the four of us before our new family member arrives... (tom the kids will have school). It was sweet, and loud as usual at the table. We talked about how Karlee will be with us the next time we sit at the table together and have lunch. I did put together a very hearty lunch though so I was impressed with myself- they had cheese, crasins, strawberries, blueberries, and organic chicken nuggets. We were missing the veggie but geeze those are hard with my kids- thats what vitamins are for, right?

It was good, and it is a good day. Each passing hour I am patiently counting down until tom night. This works out so good for me because of my OCD of my house being perfect when I leave, all the laundry being caught up, a plan for my kids while I am delivering, knowing I have all my stuff packed and ready to go in the car for the hospital including my fan and two body pillows.... all this and no more thinking.... oh geeze when and where am I going to go into labor. As much fun as the anticipation is of the unknown... I am def happy with this planned agenda!

Super Bowl Sunday

We had a fun super bowl Sunday this year. It was very relaxing- we just stayed home and played. Brad cooked his mighty wondeful wings and I made sugar french fries just like wing stop. Brad has gotten way pro at the wing cooking too- especially with his deep fryer!

you can never forget the ranch with wings and fries... never!

oh yummyness- i was hoping that the spicy ones would induce labor but... no... they didnt!

Daddy N Daughter Date

Brad took Kenzie on a little date last night. He surprised her with some white daisy's when he got home. The smile on her face was priceless. She was super excited to get to go with him. They all get excited when it is their turn to go on a date with daddy... me too :) But this time was Kenzie's and she was soaking it all in. They went to Chick fil a- choice of Kenzie- for dinner, then to starbucks for desert, and then to the dollar store. This is a tradition that Brad has now started with Kenzie that actually works out just great. He takes her to the hair accessory section and lets her pick out whatever she wants. Last night she got a new hot pink sparkly brush and two head bands. She also got Candy, a princess coloring sheet and stamp set, a puzzle for Corb, a dinosaur for Cam, and some sr punch kids for Me. Thanks Kenzie for thinking about us all. They had a fun special time together!

The end is near...

Well here is the GIANT belly... nearing the end of this long journey of pregnancy. To say the least, as much as I am ready to be able to move around like a normal person again, and not have this strectching pressure, I am sure sad to think that this is the last time I will experience this. Well, should be anyday now. My doctor was predicting tomorrow so that is crazy.

We are all waiting patiently. It is very hard because we are so ready to see her and hold her. See what color hair she has, who's eyes she has, how big she is...

And this lil boy is sure in for it. He has no idea what is about to unfold... Someone he has to share his baby attention with. He will always be my baby boy though :)

Some highlights at going on at this time so i will always remember:

Corbin: doing awesome with his learning of letters and starting to read blending sounds. He is still awesome at golf- a natural. He starts soccer in the next few months and still does Karate where he is the highest ranked belt in his class. He loves powdered donuts and loves building structures with blocks. He is very caring and sweet to his siblings. Def the most calm of the group but has is moments when his feelings get hurt. He love going to school and is so excited when it is his turn to be the leader of the day ( the get to hold the flags and bible during pledges, lead the class to and from other places, pick out centers for the day, and get a special sign put on their chair)

Kenzie: is a pure dramatic beauty queen. She loves putting on my lipstick in the mornings, having braids in her hair. She enjoys playing baby dolls over anything else. Just like me when I was little. She is a super sweet little girl but has her over dramatic moments of meltdowns. We love her through them all :) She loves yogurt and fruit strips from Target. Enjoys riding her bike outside and loves loves dance class which we go to every week. She must always sleep with her piggie and her polka dot blanket. She will only wear skirts with leggings or dresses. Will not wear pants- I have to convince her that her jeggings are leggings or else she wouldnt wear them.

Camden: crazy wild child- Def the most energetic of the group- I am guessing it is because he is third in line and is tough- touch is good- he is a little over aggressive at times. Gets in trouble for throwing, hitting, or tackling others. Although he is a super cuddle bucket. Loves wrestling with daddy and playing outside- roaming freely is one his favorite things. He is very ticklish under his chin and recently has started rubbing his ears to go to sleep. He must always sleep with his paci and his sushi blanket. He is finally saying more words- ball, drink, i want that, nooooooo, ahhh ohhh, ma ma, bubba, da da... just to name a few. But we are so excited that he is finally talking.

Well, I have to write this down because I will forget if I dont and it was too funny to forget

Last night at the dinner table Corbin tells me and Brad...

" Today at school, Mrs. Jenkins asked me, name something that starts with the letter P"

Corbin replied, " P.. pa pa is for Pick your nose"

Then he started busting out laughing and so did Brad and I.

He said the whole class was laughing at him- oh dear me I have a class clown on my hands

I was impressed though- I am so excited that all this letter stuff is finally clicking in his head and it is so neat to watch him be so interested in it. We did ask how Mrs. Jenkins replied and he said she did laugh too so that is good. I am sure she is feeling the same way because she knows how much he was struggling a month ago and actually being in the situation a month ago he would have said.. I dont know.

So there you have it... P is for Pick your Nose :)

We headed to mops this morning. Kenz n cam were so sweet holding hands i had to capture the moment. It isnt often that cam obeys w holding a hand. Kenzie looked so cute in her vest that uncle matt got her. Thanx uncle matt :)

Karlee's Sweet Room

Thought I would take some pictures of Karlee's room. It has turned out so cute. We got everything we need for this bundle of joy and only now need her :) Melissa thought it would be cute to paint the lower half of her room hot pink too but whew that would be a lot of pink. Brad says the brown keeps it cozy. Well, i am thinkig it is going to stay brown- mostly because there is no way i am moving furniture around and getting out my paint brush at this point. Ha!

The bear in her bed is a pooh bear that matches my other kids pooh collection. If you dont know already- Corbin has Eeyore ( Erwin), Kenzie has Piglet ( Piggy), and Cam has Tiger ( Tig Tig). I wonder what Karlee will call her pooh bear. Whenever we announced we were having a girl to the family we put this pink bow around its neck- So special! And yes, all my kids have the mini version and the giant version of their animal. Mini for when they are little and big for when they get older. I am a dork, I know

I am so in love with this mobel. It is def one of favorite decor items in her room.

I changed out the boring silver knobs on her changing table for these fabulous hot pink ones from hobby lobby. It has made it so cute!

And here are some of her clothes. I havent hung up anything that was Kenzies past 3 mths yet so I am sure it will be more full after I do that. You cant see it but to the right in her closet is my collection of matching girl stuff- for Kenzie and Karlee that is. Yes, I am already buying matching stuff and I am obsessed. I even already got them matching swimsuits. ahh so fun!

and pictures to come is her fabulous bassinett- and what a project this has been. When her sheets are done being made I will post a pic of how fabulous it truly is. This little girl is spoiled already and I love it!

Today we had a wonderful picnic on the back porch. The weather is warming up so it was nice. The kids had a great time playing together on the swing and Cam had fun hunting for treasures in the leaves. Love great weather!

Super Hero

So, my job as a super mom is very complicated. Well, at least that is what a lot of people call me, a super mom.I guess I get that label because of the number of children that I have. I wonder if I just had one, would people still say pretty much daily, wow you are such an awesome mom, and I look up to you. Because really, I think that any mom can be a super mom or in my terms which my 5 year old is convinced of... a super hero.

the typically day of unloading the dishes, doing two loads of laundry to not get behind, swipping the floor three times a day- after every meal, walking behind my children picking up toys after their short attention spans have been changed to playing something else. Whew yea it doesnt stop and I usually do not sit down until the evening with my husband which even then my mind is going to the next day of things to do. But even in all that we are called to do more. Teach our children about Jesus, teach our children to read, teach our children manners and what is right or wrong. Our job is nuts and even can make us go nuts. Wow- I think I have gone nuts- considering that my day is insanely busy and I am about to have another baby in the middle of it. oh my! Super Hero to the rescue!

Well here is a confession: No One has it all together. Not even me. Every once in the while you have a pit you fall into. Last week my patience level had reached its max and I totally lost it with the kids- my tone was not acceptable. I apologized and of course I felt awful for three days. I felt like a failure. All over one evil tone I had with them, I felt not worthy of the "super hero" identity I had given myself. So I turned to my bible. The Lord lifted me up and forgave me. My kids forgave me. I was reminded that we all stumble and we grow from it. We stand up again, but with more strength than the time before.

So then four days my super hero mom status was crushed again. But this time it was from Corbins K4 teacher at school. Not saying that anything she did was wrong, rude, or not right because I needed to hear it. She explained that he is having a hard to learning his letters and catching onto sounds and recognition. As I sat on the phone pulled over in a parking lot while the kids watched none educational disney movie in the back, I listened to her and took it. It was hard. Very hard. I was feeling like a failure again. Like I hadnt been the super hero mom I was suppose to be. Teaching my kid and helping him with this so that when he is at school he knows it and he is confident that he knows it.

After I got off the phone, I lost it. I put my hands in my face and cried. I am sure that my pregnancy hormones did not help at all. I called my husband who is very supportive as always. He told me to first breath, and then suck it up. His exact words were " ok, well then things need to be different and we need to work with him." So that is what I have done the past four days. I am now playing a you-tube video of sounds two times a day, and I bought an educational game for the computer for him to practice with. What is crazy is that my kids have never used a computer so he had to first be taught how to use a mouse and then how to play the game. But it is working.

Today after I got him from school we were singing the sound song that I have been playing over and over again. He was able to tell me every letter sound up to letter L and we only stopped there because we got home to eat lunch. My heart felt so happy and I was so proud of him I was lost in words. I felt like the super hero again and this is an awesome feeling.

With all that said. It is great being a super hero and I wouldnt change this status for anything!

Waiting n waiting

Ive recently realized how much time i spend waiting around for stuff- waiting on time... Before school starts, before dance, during dance, before i pick up corb, during karate, an pretty much every single hr of the day to pass so i am a little bit closer to karlee being born. I guess waiting for stuff is just a part of having a lot of kids and a lot of stuff to do. I guess i better prepare myself for more and more waiting. Good thing i can access the internet on my phone and do stuff like blog while i wait.

With all that said we are a few wks away from karlee being born. I am so ready to be able to move around again like a normal person and give my kids baths without feeling like im going to pass out. Im really ready for the whole birth process to be over and be holding my baby girl. I think something that parents of multiple children think about alot is " how am i ever going to love another child" but in truth- the more i have, the deeper love i have. I think u can take everything in more and u realize just how fast they grow up. I am also so excited for the kids to finally meet this baby girl we keep talking about. Sibling love us such a special thing- and i love getting to watch it daily play out. Even though it is love/ hate. Ha! One of my favorite things to watch is getting the kids from school. Me n corb go pick up kenzie and then the best part is watching the older two race down the hall to cams classroom. The giant smile on his face when he sees them is priceless. I love it!

Well with all that said, much rambling... I am still waiting. Waiting for time. But as i wait, i take in every moment and every minute. I will blink my eyes and my kids will be grown up and out of the house before i know it. If i dont appreciate the waiting now, i will be sad in the future when there is nothing to wait on.

A day w daddy

Today daddy had off work for the new year so we went to have fun. We went to rosas mexican which is a lubbock memory and went to the sea life aquarium in grapevine. It is very cool! We had gigi, papaw, matt and kristin join us for the fun.

Cam was so funny - he didnt want to step on the glass so walked along the edge.

Happy New Year!

Well tonight was way fun! Daddy was finally back home and he proposed we do fireworks. These fireworks we have had since the 4th of July. We had bought them to do at the beach but we were under a burn ban so never did them. But tonight was PERFECT and the kids thought it was awesome. all of them except Cam... which really surprised me. He didnt like the loud noise. So after we put him to bed- we all went back out and had a show- so much fun. Let me also mention- only in the country can you have a firework show in your back yard. Ha! Love it!!!

Here was the set up- using our fence material.. NICE- hopefully they dont care there is ash on those now

Well Happy New Year to all. We are very excited with what this year brings.. Our Karlee girl hopefully soon, and lots of fun vacations already planned- Welcome 2012!

Cerlys bday

Fun outside

Today the weather is beautiful and we are out enjoying it. Pretty crazy to be almost the new year and it is close to 70 outside. The days seem to be going by slower and slower as i get more and more anxious for karlee to be here.

Christmas Morning

This Christmas was very low key and it was great! The kids woke up Sunday morning with much anticipation that Santa had come and brought them their two gifts that they had asked for. To their surprise he had brought them more than just what they asked for and Corbin was very excited about this.

It is really fun as your kids get older and you get to share with them the reason that we give gifts and the true celebration of Christmas and they actually start to grasp it. Corbin was really trying to figure out the "baby" Jesus and the "man" Jesus and how they were the same person. Very confusing in his lil mind.

Here are some pictures of Santa gifts. I forgot to take pictures of the greatest gift that Brad got me... a heated blanket... ahh it is sooo wonderful! I guess I dont need my blow dryer anymore to keep me warm. Ha!

Christmas eve at church

This was our first christmas eve service to attend since we have had kids. Not sure why but we just never have gone on christmas eve. Kinda crazy!

But today we came and corb got to come and see where mommy and daddy go. The nursery was only for four yrs old and younger today. When he walked in he said... Wow, this is awesome.

Today was a special day... Spending an hr w our oldest son in big church and celebrating the birth of our Savior with him. Happy birthday to Jesus!

Gingerbread Making

Our cousins, auntie Missy and Gigi came over today for a fun new tradition we are going to do.. Gingerbread making. Gigi made cut outs for gingerbread boys and girls- the girls had dresses on.. so cute!

Waiting For Mia, Trip and Tatum

Yesterday we had Christmas with Nana and Bumpa- while we were waiting for Kiki and the kids to show up we played outside in their yard. I got these fun pics of the kids running around. I was about to have a heart attack with Camden though bc he doesnt understand NOT to go near the street- we arent used to neighborhood streets around our house.

So get this- i got all these pics outside but my PREGNANCY brain FORGOT to get any pics of them with their great grandparents or opening presents. I didnt even think about it until I grabbed my camera to take back to the car. HELLOOOO - i am such a DORK!!!

Christmas @ Gigi and Papaw's

When we drove up for our fun filled Christmas day, they had set out these fun blow up pinguins. The kids loved them and actually love watching them fall over on top of them.

We were laughing after the fact bc he said that for a contest you are suppose to built and awesome gingerbread house- i built a gingerbread shed. Ha!

Christmas Celebrations

Thursday was a fun day- Corbin had a Christmas party at school, and Kenz N Cam had a Christmas performance. Everyone looked so cute in their raindeer ears.Here is Corb with His teachers gift :)

So after Kenz and Cam "sang" I headed over to Corbs school to catch a few minutes of his party. He was so excited that I showed up. Here is his raindeer made of marshmellows

Then they did a book exchange and were so excited and thankful to get a new book

I love this pic! Corb looks so happy with his class. He sure loves school so much and I am so excited for Kenzie to get to have this much fun next year :)

So at church this past Sunday Jonathan said something we should all remember this time of the year.....
Don't let Gods presents distract you from his presence!!! So with so much to be thankful for this season- family, food, and our presents under our trees... dont forget why we celebrate to begin with: The birth of our Savior! Happy Birthday Jesus!

Karlee

I decided to go ahead and post some sono progress pics of our baby girl. I am not sure if I am ever going to get around to doing scrapbooking anymore since blogging is the new thing and its so much easier. So here are some sono pics. From our 8 week visit, 18 week visit and most recent 30 week visit.

This one is from the most recent visity two weeks ago of her lil face and arm up by her face. She kept opening and closing her eyes while we watched her on the sono machine. So amazing! We all decided that she sure does look like our Kenzie girl in this picture. I look forward to seeing what color hair she will have. If you dont know already, Kenzie came out with jet black curly hair so who knows- I actually had dark hair myself when I was born. And the boys had blonde- so I guess we will see!

Well with much anticipation I can't wait to hold this baby girl that moves around like a mad woman in my belly. Of course along with that is a lovely healing process and not much sleep but it is all worth it and I cant wait. Love you Karlee :)

Corbins big boy bible

Since Corbin has chapel at school and goes with all the older kids he has noticed that they all have big kid bibles that have " no pictures." he has been asking for one for a couple of mths and brad and i decided when he turns five we would get him one. So this past wk they went and picked one out. It is blue leather with his name in silver on it. Such a big boy special gift. Next yr we will let him start taking it to school for chapel. I pray that as he grows up he will come to know the Lord and trust in His word. That this bible will be something he will cherish forever.

Corbin is 5

we gave corb his birthday presents from us the night before his actual birthday. He got a really cool spiderman shirt from kenz, cam and karlee and a remote control mcqueen and mater from mom and dad. He was very specific in which one he wanted.

he loved loved this shirt. wore it that night, to bed and then to his party the next day. i love it too. gotta love gap! always :)

here he is with his mcqueen. the kids played this for two hours before bed that night. it was nice that there was two bc they each had one to play with.

corb got his special birthday cake made by mommy and sister. yummy yummy chocolate and sprinkles

after his party at pump it up we were off to our annual great wolf lodge stay. it is always so much fun.

id actually say this was my most relaxing... which is surprising. cam played in the shallow water and i just sat and watched him. he loved it of course and was so cute in his lil life jacket

I let corb open his first bday present from grammie and bianca today. He got a spiderman watch, toothbrush, pencil holder, stickers and water jug. He loves it all. She also sent kenzie a lil special gift and she was excited. She got a cooking apron, hat, and spatula. So fun. She is my kitchen helper so its perfect! Thnks grammie and bianca. We love u soo much!

Today at school corb took cookies for his birthday. He got to wear this fun hat all day and everyone sang happy birthday to him. I surprised him w his fav- mcdonalds for lunch. What a fun start to a birthday fun filled weekend. I cant believe ur 5 big boy. Wow! Love u corbin!

Christmas Fun

Corbin always gets to put the star on the tree- this is a tradition that started when he was our only child. :) as our trees get taller with out taller ceilings it is getting a lil bit more scary. This is brad balancing him on his shoulder standing at the top of a step ladder. yikes!

Saturday we were off to the Gaylor ICE with Grandpa, Kiki, Tatum, Mia and Trip. We had alot of fun hanging out, eating lunch, seeing Santa ( which Cam freaked out about) and seeing the ICE- themed Shrek the Halls this year.

sweet girls. these two are so much alike. they are absolutely in love with each other. they love love jewelry and accessories and are so girlie. i love it!

then we put on the these giant coats to go into the ice. it is 9 degrees in there.. wheeww very very cold. makes me very glad i dont live somewhere that it is that cold all the time. my dad hates the cold so he skipped out on the ICE. party pooper we called him but he didnt care. he had no interest in being cold.

me and KiKi (Kristi) with our coats on- brad said.. they gave me the XXXL to cover my belly. I looked lets just say---- VERY VERY WIDE. Ha!!!

and here is the handsome Cam man- he was so funny bc he kept falling down and would just cry bc he couldnt stand up- it was sad and funny at the same time. hehe

here is cam loving this so much. he was talking the whole time.. or yelling--- ahhhhh uh ahhh - makes no sense but we are sure glad he is finally talking.

since we were at the front of the line we got the slides first. all the other kids go so fast down the ice slide but cam well... he got stuck so i was able to get a pic of him. he sat in the middle of the slide for about 4 minutes. we all just laughed at him. the workers were trying to tell him to lean back so he would slide. One worker said they have a stick to eventually push them down if they dont move. He finally figured it out and very s-l-o-w-l-y came down.

after the ICE we got some yummy ginger bread men- " gingy" is his name. they were so yummy

well what a fun time we had. I love Christmas and doing all these fun things. Gotta love living in the BIG D where you can do all this cool stuff. I must mention that we did loose a child ( Camden) at one point and my camera. But we found them both :) Thank goodness. On the way home brad says... and we are having another child. I might need some of those leash things to put on my children. That or a nanny. Ha! Just Kiding. I think its my pregnancy forgetfulness. ahh geeze! Fun times!

Jolly the Elf Comes...

This morning Jolly the Elf came to our house. He comes every year to watch over the kids and reports to Santa every night to tell him if they have been good boys and girls. Jessica had told me of this great tradition to start in making the day that Jolly shows up a special one. So today was the day and he brought us breakfast from the North Pole and some special stuff. Let's just say I sure had fun with this one and the kids Loved Loved Loved it all!!!

today we set out for an adventure- some picture taking by this really cool barn and land by our house. I new with the sunrise it was going to be pretty. Corb and Kenzie really liked looking inside the old barn and seeing all the "treasures" that had been in there for years. They found an old bike, wagon, table and even an old tractor. It was fun sitting there and capturing them so curious and excited about the unknown. Of course I did make them all sit together for one group pic. Turned out pretty cute :) As I sit and type this I am reminded that tomorrow is Thanksgiving and how thankful I am for my family. It is amazing how you can rush thru a whole day and forget to stop and take in the moment and be thankful.

Thank you Lord so much for all you do for me, for my family, for my precious children, for the life inside me we haven't met yet.

Corb loves going outside and finding pet grasshoppers. He makes them new friends that he talks to like they are humans. He even feeds them and gives them water. Even takes them on bike rides.

Happy Halloween

we had such a fun halloween this year. we stayed close to home and went over to cade and tatum's house. we had yummy frito pies, my signature boo boo fingers ( hot dog wrapped in crescent roll), dips, and cookies. watching the kids run from house to house was so neat. we have finally gotten to the age they can do this on their own and they loved it. the kids this year were buzz lightyear, a dinosaur, and princess ariel. on the way home last night brad asked the kids what karlee will be next year and of course they both answered... a princess! nice, i am predicting a lot more princess halloweens in my future :)

Life with our Cam

i found cam like this today. he had climbed on the fire place, was sitting on the lil pumpkin and playing truck on the big one like it was a road.

this is the pic i got when i caught him. he looks like he knows he shouldnt be up there.

cam loves to read. he brought this book to corbin while corb was watching tv for him to read to him. such a sweet big brother to help him in his chair and read it to him ( as best as he could) :)
cam thinks that he is just as big as his brother and sister. at bed time he likes to pretend like he gets to sleep with brother in his big boy bed. love these kiddos

oh and here is crazy cam. the other day at dinner i had told brad that i didnt want to give cam rice bc it ends up EVERYWHERE. well who knew that after dinner we would be helping the other kids get there jammies on and we start to wonder.. where is cam... he has climbed up on the table and his filling his mouth with rice from the other kids plates. and let me add.... making a HUGE rice mess. seconds after i took this picture.. the plate went flying across the kitchen and rice went.. yes... EVERYWHERE!!!! oh thanks cam

so adding cam to our life's has been an adventure. he is getting to be such a handsome handful. he is my first child that has had an e.r. visit, the first to be loosing a toe nail bc he dropped a block on it, the first to go to a podiatrist bc of stepping on cactus, first child that runs off when i take him out in public, first to fall out of his car seat onto the concrete and he is the child that i loose the most sleep over bc i have dreams of him getting hurt ( go figure) . He is a physically active lil boy who inside thinks he is three not 19 mths old. Bc i know how much he gets into things, i have to be even more aware of where he is at ALL times. Lately I have been thinking the Lord so much for a lil girl being next in line. Not sure if i could handle another lil boy who gets into things and is so physically challenging. I will take more girl drama any day bc this child.. whew he wears me out ( physically and mentally) but i sure do love him sooo much. we all do. when corb makes him belly laugh i am reminded of how much fun it is that he has older siblings. Having a lot of kids is so much fun.. a lot of work but a lot of fun. I wouldnt change it for a boring day ever... bc we never have one of those around here! love you cam and be safe... mommy prays this every single day!

Bike Riding Fun

yesterday we took the kids to the middle school parking lot to let corbin practice riding his bike without training wheels. he is doing so good. he went so far all by himself going straight- just still needs some work on turning. that is hard but he will get it. practice practice. kenzie had fun riding her bike around too and cam of course wanted to be like his big bubba and ride the big kid bike. we had a fun time and the weather was just perfect!

Lake House Weekend

Fun Filled Weekend

Friday started out with a rained out visit to the Plano ballon festival. Every year it rains on us. I told Brad lets stop attempting to go bc it is so annoying to make that drive and drive back home. :(
Saturday we stayed home and I caught up on my 5 loads of laundry. whew wow... i have clothes coming out of my ears.. and yes.. we are adding more clothes to the mix in February.. yikes!

Saturday night we went to Brads 10 yr high school reunion. it was fun meeting all his friends and hanging out. and of course, getting all dressed up bc we never do this much. Although, about an hr into it I was ready for my jammies :)

Sunday after church we headed to Oktoberfest. Our annual trip there. It is so fun but it sure was hot this time. Cam wore Corbs outfit that he had when he was his age.. ahh so cute and kenz wore her outfit from last year.

Today was a wonderful day! We found out today that we are having you, a baby girl! We are so excited. Mommy was sure that I was having a little boy but nope... you have surprised us all. Mommy especially. The shock of you being a girl has filled me up with so much joy all day long. I can't even begin to express how excited I am to be holding a sweet baby girl in my arms in 5 more months. Your daddy had the best grin on his face when the sono lady confirmed we were having a girl. Such a special bond you already have with your daddy. He said, I now have two lil princesses. Tonight our whole family came over to celebrate what you were going to be and the screams that came after bubba and sissy showed them your pooh bear with a pink bow around its neck was priceless. It is so special to me how much everyone loves you so much already. Your only 18 weeks old and so many people love you dearly and can't wait to see you. I can't wait for you to meet all your family and friends. You are such a lucky girl and we are so lucky to have you. I love you so much baby girl. Get ready to be spoiled!

so our weeks of crazyness have begun. schools in different directions and dance in another town. whew what a week. i love doing it though. so much. being a busy mom is the best job ever! it is so fun that the kids are growing up and involved in so much. i just love it.

Corb's first day of school was August 16th. He was so excited. Even after is nap yesterday he thought it was the next day and was ready to go again :) After school he told me everything they did.. snack, music- they acted like elephants, gym class- and he said the gym was sooooo big, they colored and worked on letters, had center time, and he said... " oh mom the bestest thing we did that you will love is.... i played." ha, he is so goofy. I am so happy that he enjoys it so much! Isn't he so handsome in his school uniform. i love it!

Staying Cool

i have not been up to being outside for the past three weeks bc of the killer heat. today i decided to let the kids play in the water in the morning before it gets to hot. it was actually pretty nice with a breeze and a good soak of the water hose by my lovely daughter :) they had so much fun. poor cam was napping so didnt get to be a part of all the fun.

my mom and bianca came to visit for close to two weeks and it was so much fun. we went to great wolf lodge, and to tyler while they were here.

this is pa on the fire truck with the kiddos. this is actually almost just like the one he used to actually ride on when he was a fire man. so cool!

in tyler we went to this stuffed animal exhibit. it was awesome and my kids were going crazy. bianca didnt care for it to much bc she loves animals and was sad

4th of July in Galveston

we took our annual Galveston trip over 4th of July. We started this tradition with the Gray family last year and it so much fun. The kids absolutely love the sand, sun, and water!

We caught a ton of hermit crabs. It was crazy. We would step on them everywhere in the ocean. The kids thought they were so cool. Cam especially. He wanted to hold them! yikes

Each year we go out to the parade downtown and it is deathly hot. The kids enjoy getting lots of candy so it is worth it.

tonight, i put cam in his bed. his siblings were outside with daddy so the house was nice and peaceful and quiet. a great way to wind down and go to sleep. when i put him in his bed he stood right back up, paci in mouth and began to cry. of course i cant stand to put him to bed and him cry so i went back and picked him up. he looked around the room ( which we just re-arranged his room) and he pointed and said "mmmmm". that is his way of saying " i want that." he was pointing to his rocking chair. now isnt that the best thing ever! uhh i just love him. so i rocked him for a long time. holding my sweet lil love and thinking of how much he is growing up. he has so much personality these days. he now gives open mouth kisses and laughs afterwards every time. he can say cheese.. and makes the greatest smile face. he knows that if he screams really loud.. oh yea screams.. then he typically gets his way. so when his sister takes his toy away and he screams.. he gets it back very quickly. he laughs so hard when you tickle under his chin...with a black eye and scraped up arms he is such a handful and def thinks he is older than he is. oh the cam man... thanks so much cam for letting me rock you to sleep tonight. it was so special and i hope to remember this forever. thanks to blogging i can! love you sweet love :)

Great news yesterday at the doc that baby 4 is healthy and growing right on track. That is always a sigh of relieve for me at the first visit. Seeing the picture of baby takes your breath away and reality sets in " wow this is for real again." Such a wonderful feeling that really cant be discribed when you see this lil life moving around inside of you. So amazing!

I was so excited to get home and show the kids the picture of baby. I knew they would be so interested being older this time around. I really love these pictures and will surely cherish them forever. How sweet they are looking together. Of course my wondeful son is getting older so the questions of all this "baby stuff" keep coming.... typically I try to give a brief overview- ex: Corbin " so mommy, how does the baby get out of your belly".. me "well, some mommies have to have surgery and they cut the mommies belly to get the baby out"... corb " does that hurt".... mom " yes it does." and that was it. So yea.. what fun when a kid gets older and you get to explain things. oh my oh my.

Love being a mommy so much and can't wait till February to have my whole gang in my arms :)

we all love love love the zoo- and it is so fun to go swimming there! although i was getting attacked by bees this last time bc of our limonade... so future thought " dont get limonade." we had such a fun time meeting daddy for lunch. we even rode the monorail this time.

Let the Love Grow...

Been a few days but yes that is right... again i have some love growing inside of me. I got a positive pregnancy test last thursday night. I was of course still shocked when the second line faintly appeared on the test. Funny how i have mixed emotions when i take those things.. yes i want to it be positive but ohhhh my, it is positive. Well with all that said.. numero cuatro is growing. Still havent been to the doc and will not go until July 15th. So over a month before we see or hear this lil one. My feeling so far are pure joy, and just speechless. It does cross my mind ALOT of why is it so easy for me to have babies. I know so many friends and family that have tried, and are trying, and fail every month. There hasnt been many months that we have tried and not succeeded. Which truthfully, this past month was a major shocker that it happened. I thought no way would it happen the first time we try, yet it did. These thoughts of why is it so easy for me are what went thru my mind not long after seeing that positive test. Even consumed me into the evening until we shared the news with our other children and my husband asked the question to the kids. " Do you know who put that baby in mommies tummy?" Who they responded of course- " God " he replied. And this is true. Every good and perfect gift is from the Lord. God has given me this child for a reason. Hearing my husband remind me of this and seeing my children light up with joy brought me back to the level of it is ok to be excited. It is ok to be thankful and have joy for myself. It isnt selfish of me to be happy that God has blessed me with the final piece of puzzle to the large family Brad and I have always longed for. It is ok Brooke. Although thru the joy and happiness, the thoughts of all the women out there playing that waiting game does break my heart and make me sick to my stomach. With all that said... here we go again. I look forward to the months ahead... Sick months, tired months, months of lil kicks that turn into painful ones, months of not getting around very well, months of what the heck have i done, and of course the anticipated month of "welcome to the world." I am excited, and of course love all the help of my wonderful husband when i am pregnanct. Not that he doesnt help out when i am not pregnant but geeze something about having a lil life growing inside of you brings about a husband that is AMAZING! Love to all and will be posting the growing "numero cuatro"

i can remember all my kids hitting a goofy stage. well, cam is in it.. he is so funny and knows it :) this is his new thing- standing on his head- he laughs so hard when you act like your going to get him while he does this. i love it!

well it finally happened... i've been wondering when the day would come that we would have a hospital visit. Given that i have three kids and had not had one yet, one would think it would happen eventually. well, today was it. my poor baby boy is having a really hard time with his double ear infection. wasnt getting better, started not to drink much and mom freaks out. of course, after it is all said and done, we are back home and were told all along that the original blood work that came back way abnormal was wrong. the decimal was in the wrong place. it was 1.9 and not 19. good golly! anywho my poor cam man is off to bed already. he is VERY worn out and so am I. what a day! a day that i was wondering when would come...

Out of the Box!

We went to Scarborough Renaissance Festival yesterday and WOW was it so much fun. It was something we had never been to before. The title of this post is "out of the box" because it is very different and attracts many different people :) But we LOVED it!!! and so did the kids. Corbin and Kenzie both got their faces painted- Corb got a dragon and Kenz got a unicorn.

I was going crazy with their faces because they were sooo coooollll!!!

Getting ready for the pirate ship ride. All the rides at the festival are non-mechanical- so there are people that push them like swings- it is so neat- i told brad I want him to build us a pirate ship like this next :)

this is how they serve the pretzels- sooo neat and soo yummy!!! all the workers at the festival dress like in the renaissance time period- and so do ALOT of vistors of the festival. Dressing up is the thing to do- I wish i would have takin more pictures of the woman and lil girls. We are going to dress our kids up next year for sure- especially Kenz- every girl she saw she would say " i like your dresss!"

the food is so yummy- we ate chicken on a stick, pretzels, reuben sandwiches, root bear floats, candied almonds, and ice cream.. yummy!!!

well that wraps up a super fun evening at the festival. we are a pretty big festival family and always have been. we rated this one on the top last night though- above the ballon, cottonwood, oktoberfest or even wildflower. we WILL be going back EVERY year and hopefully be dressed up as well. HA, love it! You should check it out too, that is, if you enjoy getting "out of the box" every now and then :)

Eggs - N - Paint

we painted easter eggs the other night with Gavin and Madison. The kids had so much fun! Of course it turned to body painting. When does having paint out ever NOT turn to that?

Makenzie Turns Three!

What a fun birthday for Kenzie this year! She was so into finally having her turn to celebrate and get presents of course :) Mommy, daddy, Corbin and Cam all surprised Kenzie with her big girl bike. She LOVES it and was riding it by herself with 5 minutes. Such a smart girl she is! The best thing about the bike is that "piggy" has a place to ride too. So cute!

And then the party on Saturday. We had a my lil pony party and had a real pony come over for pony rides. They painted its hair and put sparkles on its feet. Sooooo FAB! The pony ended up being even MORE than I had ever expected. It was Perfect! We told all the kids that we fed the pony skittles and it turned its hair different colors.. hehe kids are so gullible.

Happy Birthday Makenzie, she was so funny when everyone started to sing. She got embarassed and jumped into my lap. Even though she has been singing happy birthday for about two months to herself she still was shocked that everyone was looking and singing at her. Such a sweetie pie.. i love that grin she makes!

What a fun birthday this year Makenzie. Three is such a wonderful age of independence and maturity. You have really grown up to be a sweet and loving child to everyone. You love your brothers so much, love to cuddle with mommy in bed every morning, and love love school friends and family. When I looked around at all the people at your party, all I could think about is how all those people are there to celebrate my baby girl and how special she is to each and every one of them. Even thru your hyper- crazy wild child self- your heart is full of so much joy and care. I love you so much lil girl and I really can't believe it has been three years since you made your appearance with dark brown curly hair on your birth day. Some days I have to admit you take motherhood to a different level, but EVERYDAY I am so thankful that God gave me YOU! Love - Mommy

We have waited a while to introduce the kids to sushi. A couple of reasons actually: not sure if they would like it, or really like the quiet atmosphere when it is just us :) Well, Kenzie loved it, Corb wouldn't try it and Cam didn't get any. So small success but it was a fun outing. Of course, mommy and daddy loved it!
